Mrs. Addelis Sibutha
Commissioner Addelis Sibutha is an effective, highly motivated and results-oriented individual, with the ability to work well in a team. With a firm sense of governance, public administration, policy formulation and cultural advocacy, Commissioner Sibutha applies herself wholeheartedly to tasks at hand and specifically to issues to do with human rights, poverty alleviation, economic empowerment, gender equality, culture, good governance and democracy. She has proven to have high levels of energy as well as a keen initiative and creativity to take action for positive transformation.
Commissioner Sibutha holds a Masters of Arts in Culture, Policy and Management from London City University, a Graduate Diploma in Marketing and a Certificate in Education, among other qualifications.
A teacher, marketer, cultural and human rights activist, Commissioner Sibutha is a former Director in the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office in the Government of National Unity where she was responsible for Strategic Planning. She was also a Regional Director at the National Art Gallery from January 2004-July 2009.
Commissioner Sibutha is married, with two sons.
